I trained my eye in the grammar and rigor of the image, first at IATA in Namur, then at INSAS in Brussels. I then devoted several years to documentary film, camera on my shoulder.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2016, I have turned away from the relentless flow of 24 frames per second to devote myself fully to the vibration of line and color, across a range of supports and techniques. My &#8220;hypnographs&#8221; emerge from a gesture free of figurative intent. They are an automatic writing, a seismograph of the invisible. Monotype, or added color, then gives that line a body: transparency, density, hue. It becomes a sensory presence rather than mere drawing. I favor the square format, which abolishes the horizon and pulls energy toward the depths of the composition.
